How to Move Past Survival and Into Safety and Peace in These Difficult Times

We are being faced with some tough stuff!...beyond the obvious physical illness that some are experiencing, we are worried about a bunch of stuff...if we’re gonna have enough food to eat... if we’re going to be able to pay the bills... If we’re still going to have a job or business...major life events being cancelled or put on indefinite hold...blah blah blah...It’s exhausting!

And it has many people in sheer survival mode! I get it... that’s completely understandable... The thing is that unless we get out of survival mode, we won’t be able to help ourselves because when we are in survival mode, all of our energy goes to trying to have basic needs met...safe place to live, food to eat, money to live, physical and emotional safety. While those are very important things to have, we must be able to move beyond survival if we hope to heal and thrive.

So, I’d like to share some basic practices to help bring safety and grounding, so that we can begin to move past survival, which is a very low vibration and shift into a higher vibration:

1. STILLNESS... sit still in a chair without talking for five minutes a day. This is an extremely important practice because what we’re working with is an overstimulated nervous system. Stillness calms us, so we’re not running around like chickens with their heads cut off. And over time, we settle and begin to see more clearly.

2. GROUNDING by walking, running or dancing... or any combination of the three... or anything where our feet are touching the ground. These grounding practices give us the support of the earth, so we can feel safe and supported.

3. WRITING our thoughts and feelings...completely unfiltered and raw. Write for just 5 minutes/day. Then read what you wrote, so you begin to notice your feelings...Your feelings are coming up because they’re ready to be healed...Begin to notice your feelings without judgment of them being wrong. They’re not wrong at all. All of your feelings are entirely beautiful.
SPEAK out loud throughout the day...saying this sort of thing to yourself...I AM SAFE. I AM SUPPORTED. I AM HELD. I AM LOVED. (You can even give yourself a hug. Hugs are known to stimulate the parasympathetic response of feeling loved and safe.)

4. CREATE...anything! Art, music, cook, doodle, poetry, wood working, knitting, paper airplanes... it doesn’t matter what... Creating comes from our sacral chakra, which is the energy center above our root chakra, which deals with our basic needs. Creating stimulates our sexual center and moves us vibrationally up out of survival. Creating is very healing.

5. BREATHE...consciously...think about your breath throughout the day...Take a deep breath right now... from the bottom of your belly all the way up to the top of your lungs... Your breath is your life force essence. It is a sure way to calm you. When we’re in survival mode, or really mostly we as adults, we breathe very shallowly and don’t take in enough oxygen. We need oxygen to live and heal and thrive. Something as simple as thinking about your breath and breathing deeply throughout the day can revolutionize your health.

Everything I’ve shared here is very simple. There’s a part of us that will want to complain and say, “This is so hard!”...That’s actually not true!... While you might not be used to doing these things... It’s not hard to sit still for five minutes... It’s not hard to push a pen across a piece of paper for five minutes... It’s not hard to take a walk... it’s not hard to say some encouraging words to yourself...It’s not hard to breathe...

What you’re doing in survival mode is hard!... and it HURTS to be that anxious and fearful... it’s depressing!

These simple practices can move you out of survival so you can begin healing yourself and thriving... Right now is the time to start loving yourself enough to bring yourself out of that fearful panicked state and into SAFETY and PEACE. You totally got this! ❤️

Preparing for the Shift...Are You Ready?

We are living in an exciting time in human history!...Exciting?! you say with a hint of sarcasm...Yes, exciting...For me and many others, we are completely excited about moving onto a new way of being...and for many others...their deepest FEARS are excited by these turn of events. 

Before I move onto the discussion about preparation for the shift, I want to bring some things into your awareness...When we are in survival mode...that is a state of FEAR that causes us to put all of our energy into just staying alive...we are in a CLOSED state of being. We can’t move forward. We can’t RECEIVE healing, direction, abundance, insight... All of our energy is going to just keep us alive. 

This survival state of being keeps us down... It keeps us in scarcity... It keeps us sick and not having enough... in every area of our lives! Basically, if you choose to stay in survival mode you will be screwed. 

Notice I say CHOOSE... because our healing is a choice... We activate our healing and well-being from our will...Well, how do we get out of survival mode then?! you ask, quite exasperatedly. 

It begins with your choice to shift away from fighting, ignoring and running away from your fears and FACING YOUR FEARS...and learning how to LOVE and ACCEPT them as they arise. You will not be able to outrun your fears... They will hunt you down...Why?... Because they want to be loved and accepted so they can be healed and turned back into love... It’s the very reason why we even came into these human bodies!... This is exactly what I have done for myself and what I teach my clients to do. 

Healing yourself and bringing yourself out of this state of fear is not an option at this time... It’s a NECESSITY! We are getting ready to embark on a massive shift on this planet. It behooves all of us to be ready for it. And the first step of preparation for this shift is to be led by PEACE. 

Everything we do must come from our PEACE...our Highest SELF. We must learn how to be present with love and acceptance of all that’s here now so that we can access our INTUITION. Otherwise, you will make your decisions out of fear, thinking it’s your intuition and in your best interest... but that will only lead you to more scarcity and pain...because fear masks as intuition... And you’ll be going along following your gut, but really you’re just following your deepest fears, which will only lead you to more suffering. 

Getting back to peace... once you stabilize yourself and flow from PEACE...you are able to receive guidance from your Highest Self, your Spirit Guides, your angels and ascended masters. This is where the magic begins. It will defy all human logic and abilities... You will begin operating from your Divine limitless nature...This, my friends, is the only way that you are going to be able to move forward and enjoy this experience. 

Continuing on our journey of flowing in peace, we can now move further... into joy, while bringing all our fears into joy! This is how we heal ourselves! 

Then we progress further on our journey into pure LOVE...when we enter that portal of unconditional love...When we identify as LOVE itself, we expand infinitely... Here nothing is impossible to us...Anything is possible... We are pure magic... And this is how we create a new earth.

Well it looks like the Universe has shattered the glass walls of our lives into a bunch of pieces...chaos...destruction...WTF?

Have you ever heard of creative destruction?...It’s when you realize that what you created needs a complete overhaul because renovation or restoration just doesn’t cut it. Because the foundation is all wonky... You gotta have a good foundation, if you expect to have a decent construct. So, you bring in the wrecking ball... and proceeded to destroy what you created. 

Remember though, the whole idea is to rebuild the structure with a really good foundation... It’s like this... The old foundation was out of harmony... It was not aligned properly... It’s base was power, greed, selfishness...and a whole bunch of other crap that was completely disharmonious. 

Although what I’m talking about is on a collective basis, the collective is made up of individuals... It is at the INDIVIDUAL level that we create true and lasting change. That’s why we are experiencing this pandemic. It’s creating a situation where each of us must come to terms with our base fears. 

Facing our fears is the first step towards creating healing and harmony... Little by little, we learn how to stop pushing our fears away and start making friends with it... and that, my friends, is how we heal ourselves. 

The goal here is to bring our bodies, our minds and our souls into HARMONY...When we experience panic, sickness, scarcity... we are out of harmony. In order to bring ourselves to healing, we must restore the harmony... FIRST within ourselves...then in our world... But the beautiful thing is that when we heal ourselves, we heal the entire collective because we are ONE!

The old way of trying to solve all of these issues from our human logic, abilities and resources is not only limiting but it keeps us separate. The new way of focusing on our INDIVIDUAL healing unites and harmonizes us. 

Now is the time to bring harmony into your experience so you can heal the entire world! This is your contribution to all of us! Thank you for the gift of your life and healing! ❤️

Portals to Peace in a Time of Turmoil

In this frantic time during a pandemic, all of our anxiety and fears are being stirred up, and we don’t feel safe. We wonder about our future, our health, our finances, our ability to carry on normal life. Everything seems to be turned upside down!&…

In this frantic time during a pandemic, all of our anxiety and fears are being stirred up, and we don’t feel safe. We wonder about our future, our health, our finances, our ability to carry on normal life. Everything seems to be turned upside down! 

Where can we find PEACE in the midst of all of our turmoil? Can we find it through getting more information, so we can figure it all out? Can we find it by making sure we’re stockpiled with necessities? Can we find it by taking all measures to keep ourselves germ free?...What do you think?...Has that brought you PEACE?...I didn’t think so...

In order to experience PEACE, we must go within...We must begin at a very base level because our very survival is being threatened...We must create safety for ourselves...But merely trying to control our external environment does not create the safety that produces peace. 

The portals to creating PEACE are Stillness and Presence...The stillness calms our overstimulated nervous system, so we can begin to get in touch with the bigger picture...The presence puts us in touch with our Divine limitless nature, so we can operate from an expansive viewpoint that is more effective than our limited human logic, abilities and resources. 

Peace is the first step to our path to FREEDOM. Once we can establish a safe peaceful outlook, then we can proceed to the next portal, which I will discuss in a future post. 

This Coronavirus situation has effectively put us on lockdown. We can choose to make this a time of personal retreat and introspection. We can choose to stop running from our fears and to take the first steps to healing our fears, which is to sit with them in stillness and presence. Over time, as we get used to them, we can make friends with our fears, which is how we heal them...but it must be done in stages...So, we start with stillness and presence. 

You can begin by sitting still for 5 minutes...just sit...no talking...no moving...just sit...preferably with your back straight so your energy centers are open...and OBSERVE what your mind does...

At first, it may act like a raving lunatic, upset at the ludicrousness of sitting still...just sit...then after it rants about that, it may move onto other worst possible scenarios for your life...just sit...then it may move onto all the people who did you wrong...just sit...and let it all unravel...There’s a lot of pent up energy trying to come out!...but soon it begins to settle...into peace...

Then when you get up from sitting still, start putting all of your focus on this moment...how your feet feel touching the floor when you walk...the feel of your breath going in and out of your lungs...the feeling of tightness in your chest because of the stress...the thoughts racing through your mind about what’s next...and see...see if you can hear the still quiet voice of your Highest Self...encouraging you...loving you...letting you know everything‘s gonna be OK...

Watch and see how before you know it...you start to feel at PEACE! Peace to all of you, my friends. I love you so much! ❤️
