What’s Your Money Story? Here’s Mine…

I used to be a penny pincher. I saved and saved and spent a lot of time deciding what I would spend my money on. I used coupons at the store and looked for the sale items. That’s all great fine and dandy, but it got OLD for me. You see, I approached money from a place of “I DON’T HAVE enough”, otherwise known as SCARCITY mentality.

I’ve learned something about the idea of I don’t have enough... it comes from the idea that I AM NOT ENOUGH! And all of that is based in FEAR...What if I can’t pay my bills this month? What if I get robbed? What if I get in an accident, and it sucks all my money? What if I get laid off and I wind up penniless?...It’s incredible what a neurotic mind can think up!

I used to look around at others who bought themselves nice things and think, I cannot imagine spending that much money on myself. I put off traveling and experiences that seemed fun, but way too extravagant for me. They would have to wait for some undesignated time in the future where I would have more money and feel comfortable spending it on myself. The truth is it wasn’t because I didn’t have the money or the ability to get the money; it was because I was afraid of losing my money, of not getting enough enjoyment from my investment, of being cheated, of running out of money. Lordy, the list of fears goes on and on.

How did you change that? you ask...I started working with my fear and taking back my power. I learned that even though those fears seemed very real, they actually were not. I learned that behind those fears, was a very joyful and abundant reality. One that understands that everything is here now for my enjoyment. And it was up to me to open to it by healing my fears.

We attract the energy we vibrate. When I was so afraid of not having enough, I attracted situations where I did not have enough, or it felt like I didn’t have enough. But when I shifted, I began to flow in my abundance. I no longer pinched pennies. I trusted myself to make wise decisions without having to consternate about it. I began flowing in abundance and using the money wisely and enjoying it. I also channeled the money to create for the Greater Good. And it wasn’t hard.

I think of money as energy. It’s used as an exchange. I exchange money for what I need or want. Others exchange what I need or want for money from me. It’s pretty simple. We just are conditioned to make more of it than it has to be.

These days I no longer operate in scarcity. I flow in abundance because I know who I AM. ❤️

Everything Rises and Falls on Leadership

If we have a poor leader, we struggle to make it. If we have a great leader, we soar. Let’s look a little closer at this...many of the circles I run in are leaders, like me. I learn a lot from them, but I notice a dynamic that seems to be limiting what’s possible: it’s common to reach a level of proficiency by following a good leader, becoming a leader, and then to stop following a leader.

Here’s the thing...We can only advance as far as the leader. So when we outgrow a leader, we may be tempted to just go solo and piggyback on our peers’ ideas for growth. While that kind of collaboration is very important, once again, we can only rise as high as the people who are at the top. So, the value of peer leadership becomes very limited.

My point is that if we wish to continue expanding into our leadership potential, the most skillful way is to get guidance and leadership from someone who is doing what we want to do and doing it well. And that requires us being humble and open enough to receive and willing to invest our time, money and energy in our growth as a leader. So if we want to continue growing as a good leader, we must continue following a good leader. That’s all!

My Life as a Game and How I’m Winning

Have you ever played chess? What if our lives were one big chess game? Well, who are we playing against? you ask... That’s the thing...It LOOKS like we’re playing against other people and situations that arise. But things are not what they seem. I AM the creator of my entire human experience. It’s not random...The other player is actually a version of me! It’s CONSCIOUSNESS as the Older Wiser Version of me in the future!

This older wiser version of me from my future knows exactly what to put into my life so that I can advance towards my future self. Each incident, trigger, trauma is like a move on the chess board. When those things happen, it’s now our turn, the current version of us. So, here’s the thing, if we approach the game from our limited human self, we’re not likely to do as well, and it’s not fun because we don’t have the advantage. It’s like Unconsciousness playing Consciousness. But, if we operate as the Divine limitless beings that we are that knows everything we need to know in this moment, we are able to play the game more skillfully. At this point, it’s Consciousness playing Consciousness.

With this awareness, we are able to go through life bringing our amazing future into the present. By the way, if you are playing a game against yourself, you automatically win! And it’s so much more fun!
