Feeling Numb?

Because it hurts so much to feel your feelings? I totally get it. When my son Cory died, I felt completely overcome with grief, a deep and overwhelming sadness that was hard to experience.

It’s not uncommon to shut down feeling as a sheer protection mechanism because we’re not ready to be with our feelings. Perhaps we spend all of our time and energy trying to numb and distract ourselves from our feelings just so we could have some relief, even if only temporarily. We may find that numbing process creates more pain because we begin to overindulge in unhealthy behavior.

On my grief journey, I learned something surprising: it’s not actually the grief or anxiety that’s causing us pain. It’s our RESISTANCE to it that makes us miserable!

What if we could FACE our FEARS with complete acceptance? What if we could actually befriend these parts of ourselves?

We must be willing to FEEL in order to HEAL. But how? That’s exactly what I’m teaching my clients to do.

You are not alone. Truth be told, all of us go through these feelings, no matter how mature or evolved we are. Why? Because that’s precisely what we came to heal!

What?!!! Yes, we each are pure LIMITLESS Source in human bodies, yet we are blinded to this by the struggle we feel being human. Instead we think of ourselves as being strictly human, confined to our limited human abilities, resources and logic. And when we encounter our human feelings of loneliness, anxiety, sadness and tiredness, we naturally REPEL those feelings, which has the effect of making us feel worse!

What’s not apparent to our human way of seeing things is that there’s nothing wrong with us. And there’s nothing wrong with our negative feelings, even though they feel very wrong. The reason these feelings arise is because that’s exactly what wants to be healed. And that’s precisely why we’re here!

When we push away these feelings, we are actually pushing away the parts of ourselves that are asking for our love and attention and the very reason we even came here. What we fight we strengthen, and what we resist persists. So it’s important that we stop fighting ourselves and our feelings and start to learn how to become friends with these parts of ourselves.

Granted, that’s not easy to do because we’ve been conditioned to do the exact opposite! Generally speaking, we need help to shift into a new way of being. That’s exactly what I’m doing for my clients.

Stop Doing What Doing What Other People Want You To Do

And start doing what YOU want to do. Here’s why: When you do what other people want you to do, you are giving away your power and denying your soul’s power and expression. We do what others want out of obligation and duty, which is a way to AVOID feeling guilty and our way of gaining their approval.

While catering to what others want from us may seem reasonable and worthwhile, that’s only because it’s what we’re used to doing. And it’s keeping us small because when we operate that way we are limited to our human potential, which is extremely LIMITED.

On the flip side, when we are present enough to listen to our hearts and do what really serves us at this time, we begin to flow from our Highest truest selves, which is LIMITLESS. We do this by following our JOY, not by avoiding our guilt. It’s a process to keep following what we do want instead of avoiding what we don’t want.

The process of following our joy is not easy for us because we are conditioned otherwise, therefore we need a STRATEGY to SHIFT into a new way of being. That’s exactly what I AM teaching my clients: how to follow their joy and operate from their UNLIMITED POWER, while healing our guilt, fear, sadness along the way.

Do You Really Value Yourself?

What kind of a question is that? Of course I value myself, you say. Do you really? How have you invested in yourself? When was the last time you did something really special for yourself, to improve your health, your peace of mind, your quality of life?

Or are you spending all of your time, money and energy doing for others and putting yourself last?

Let’s look at this: are you stressed out? Do you feel anxious? Are you depressed? Are you suffering from grief? How have you invested in healing from anxiety, depression and grief?

How important is it to you to feel peace of mind? To be free from constant stress? To feel joy?

We humans are really funny. We are programmed to spend our time, money and energy acquiring things, preparing for our futures, preventing from disaster, but when it comes to our overall health and quality of life, we aren’t always so willing to invest in ourselves.

Why do we have such a scarcity mindset about investing in ourselves? Maybe it’s because we’ve gotten so used to being miserable and in pain that we don’t believe it’s possible to live otherwise. Maybe it’s because we’ve bought into the story that we don’t have enough time, money and energy to invest in our healing. Maybe it’s a priority thing that your healing isn’t as important as the other things you spend your money on.

The reality is there is nothing more important than your health and wellbeing. You can have all the stuff money can buy, you can have all the insurance and the retirement plan to ensure those investments are protected, but if you don’t have peace and joy, what does it matter?

Do you realize that scarcity mindset is actually PART of the problem that you are trying to solve? So long as you choose not to prioritize yourself and your healing, you lose and you continue to suffer.

That scarcity mindset says things like, I will just look for quick FREE ways to heal myself. Yet trying to heal yourself with FREE TIPS is like asking for a bandaid to put on a gaping wound.

It doesn’t have to be that way! You are important. You matter. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to be free to live and love and be loved. But you have to believe that about yourself and be willing to invest your time, money and energy in yourself and your healing and wellbeing.

I have never once regretted investing my time, money and energy in myself. And you know what? My investment has been paying huge dividends! I AM free, joyful, peaceful and full of love. It’s amazing.
