Surviving or Thriving?

In order for me to thrive and live, I ‘ve had to be willing to die to what I thought it should look like. And I sure have died a lot!

I realize that all life is cyclical. I must die before I can be reborn…over and over again. I experience a lot of suffering when I refuse to die...to what I think it should look like because I’m resisting the natural flow of life.

When I am refusing to let go of what I thought it should look like, that’s coming from my fearful human self, which is only normal because that part of me can’t see the bigger picture. But when I operate from my Highest Self, I can see that dying is just the other side of living, and if I’m not willing to die, I cannot live.

When I choose to hang on to what I think it should look like, I start wilting and dying, and I go into survival mode. It’s a slow death and quite painful! Not doing that anymore!

I choose to die to what I think it should look like, as it arises, as part of the natural cycle of life. And I’m not afraid of that cycle. A tree dies in the forest and becomes compost so that life may sprout from it. This is the most natural way to be. I choose to THRIVE and LIVE!

Once Upon a Time...I Got Stuck in the Middle of My Story

It was so terrifying! I was trapped in the dungeon of my mind, and it was DARK, and I was all ALONE. I was hungry and tired and afraid, and I had no idea how to free myself. Sound familiar?

Yup! I spent a lot of time in that dungeon. It stunk, and it sucked! Me and Anxiety, Grief and Depression. Boy, we could tell you some stories! But they’re very sad, and they will depress the hell out of you, so I won’t bother.

Instead, I’ll tell you that I finally did figure out how to free myself! It’s AMAZING! My life has been nothing short of miraculous! In the past five years, I’ve grieved the loss of a son, published 10 books, traveled extensively, walked hundreds of miles, shared daily inspiration on social media, produced lots of art, ran a business, all without being BUSY!

That’s great, you say, but that cannot happen to me. Oh yes IT CAN! I AM 100% sure that you can free yourself like I did! What?! Yessiree! Along my grief journey, I learned how to transform anxiety, grief and depression into peace, love and joy. And that’s exactly what I’m showing my clients to do!

Do You Give A Flip?

Do you give a flip about your life, humanity, our earth? You do!... Then start FLIPPING EVERYTHING right HERE and NOW! What?!!!

That’s right. Every negative thought that pops into your pretty little head, FLIP IT. This is what it looks like:

Negative thought (N.T.): I don’t know what I’m doing!

Flip: I AM a Divine Limitless being, and I know everything I need to know in this moment.

(N.T.): Nobody wants to hang out with me.

Flip: People enjoy my presence, and they are happy to spend time with me.

(N.T.): I won’t be able to pay my bills this month.
Flip: I flow in abundance, and I AM not only able to meet my needs, but I flourish and am generous with others.

(N.T.): My skin looks horrible, and I have this consistent pain in my shoulder.
Flip: My skin is so healthy and supple, and my body is flowing in complete healing as I care for myself in the most amazing way.

(N.T.): I dread the thought of seeing (person who triggers you).
Flip: I look forward to seeing that person and the beautiful healing that is occurring in myself and the other.

We think when we SEE our external reality change, then we will be happy. It’s the other way around! WE MUST FIRST SEE WHAT WE ARE CREATING HERE NOW IN ORDER TO BRING IT INTO OUR REALITY.

Are You Giving Away Your Stuff?

I want to have a frank discussion with all of you amazing generous spiritual leaders. I know you. You want to make a difference in our world. And you bust yourselves doing it. You give and give and give of yourselves because you know your purpose is to change the world.

You want to do so much and reach as many people as possible that you give away your stuff for FREE! Books, teachings, TIME working with people, resources, the list is endless. You do this thinking, If it’s free, then more people will enjoy it and change their lives. What you don’t realize is the EXACT OPPOSITE of your intention is occurring! What?!!!

People value what they pay for. And they don’t value what they don’t pay for because if it’s free, then it’s not that important. Imagine that fancy upscale steakhouse (Vegans, please pardon my example, but I couldn’t think of a vegan analogy). What if they stood on the corner handing out juicy 16 oz. prime rib steaks, completely free? Well you would think they are out of their minds, or that there was a big catch.

And the truth is, if they did that, they would quickly go out of business because all of a sudden, it’s no longer valuable to go to the steakhouse. Why would you go and buy a $50 steak on your special anniversary if you could just get one for free on the corner? You would just go to another fancy place on your special anniversary and pay well for your fancy meal.

Now the steakhouse may decide instead to give tiny samples of their steak to entice you to enjoy that fancy meal. That’s an amazing strategy to get you to eat there, especially if you’re really hungry because you would pay the extra money if you were really really hungry.

Do you see what I mean? I know what I AM talking about because I was completely out of balance in terms of giving, and it’s taking me a while to bring myself into alignment so that I can really make a big impact. If you really are serious about changing people’s lives, you need to stop giving away all your time and stuff for free, recognize your VALUE and MONETIZE your offerings in a way that’s reflective of what you are worth, which is way HIGHER than what you originally are thinking. We’re talking about changing the world here people. How valuable is that?!

Stop trying to do everything in your pretty creative mind! WHAT?! You HAVE TO START WITH ONE THING! I give you permission to stop pouting and throwing that temper tantrum about what I just said. Here’s why: We creators have a cajillion ideas...of course, we’re Divine Limitless beings! But we cannot be effective on the earthly HUMAN plane unless we GROUND our ideas. And we must start ONE AT A TIME. You must give all of your attention to one thing at a time; from there you are building momentum to move on to the next thing and so on. Otherwise you DILUTE your energy. (It’s kind of like having quintuplets instead of one child. You need a ton more help to take care of five newborns at one time. It’s possible, but not the best way to go about making an impact.)

Now let’s investigate this offering that you have, which you are going to use to build your spiritual business and really change the world. This offering that you are exchanging with those souls that you already agreed to connect with at this point in their journey, is an INVESTMENT. Your peeps are INVESTING in themselves, in their healing, in their abundance, in finding their purpose. And they are happy to do so. They will invest in working with you at the same level that you invest in yourself! This is not the time to be stingy and have a scarcity mindset. This is the time to think BIG! We have a world to change, and it’s not gonna change with some wishy-washy weak offering. You have to know that what you bring is POWERFUL. You cannot make apologies for your offering. We need you to show up in a big way.

So stop giving away your stuff for free, start seeing your value and monetizing your offering in a big way, one at a time, and then just sit back and watch how you create a big ole splash of LOVE all over our world!
